Kimberly R. Urish, CFRE

Leadership, writing, and major gifts consultant

About

With over 20 years of experience, Kimberly has worked with every size and style of organization. From small organizations with three staff to an international $300M organization with thousands of people spread across the globe, she can help a fundraising team of one to team of 30. Her experience includes all aspects of fundraising including volunteer management, membership programs, direct mail, online giving, peer-to-peer fundraising, events database management, grant writing, and foundation relations. Her specialty is major gifts work including prospecting, cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding major donors including high-net-worth individuals giving assets to make transformational impact. She will help your fundraising professionals feel supported and successful, provide plans that increase revenue, and create best practices for years to come, advising on all aspects of a donor journey.

Kimberly often says, "I have the best job." With a front-row seat to the best of humanity, fundraising provides an opportunity to work with people who want to make the world a better place. That's why this work is so important. As well as fun! Everyone loves a good storyteller. Kimberly's story started in rural Illinois, where she was raised by family who represented values of generosity, integrity, work-ethic, and good humor. She moved to Denver in 2000 and currently lives near downtown with her partner and two black cats. In her free time, she enjoys reading, podcasts, walks, game-nights, dinners with friends, singing and playing guitar, activism, her First Unitarian community, and traveling.
